Job Description
Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for an Associate Corporate Counsel (ACC) to support its evolving businesses in India.
The ACC will be expected to counsel category, marketing, advertising, tech business teams on a broad range on legal matters involving Foreign Direct Investment, Competition Law, Legal Metrology, Information Technology, Advertising and Intellectual Property laws. The ACC will be involved in structuring, drafting and negotiating commercial transactions. The ACC will serve as counsel for development and launch of key customer features on Amazon.in website. This role will require reporting to Sr. Corporate Counsel, working closely with global legal teams.
Basic Qualifications
Law degree from a leading law school/University
Licensed to practice law in India or other common law jurisdiction
A minimum of 5+ years of PQE in corporate law firms and/or in-house multinational corporations, preferably with some portion of that experience in technology and commercial transactions
Excellent language ability to draft legal documents in English
Preferred Qualifications
A mix of corporate law firm and in-house experience is a plus
Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
Organizational skills to be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and computer skills
