ABOUT PATH LEXIS

Path Lexis is a youth organisation which has its vision in providing equality of opportunity in the field of law. It provides a platform for law students to hone their skills by organising moot courts, debates, seminars and other legal competitions. Their aim is to help law students to gain better learning experience outside the purview of what is offered to them.

ABOUT THE COMPETITION

Path Lexis has organised 1st National Case Note Competition to provide law students a combination of both the academic world and the practical world. This competition seeks to promote original thought and analysis amongst students, researchers, academicians and legal practitioners.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES• The work must be original and plagiarism of more than 10% shall lead to disqualification.• The submission shall include the following: Facts of the case, Reasoning, Disposition and Critical Analysis of the Judgement.• The name of the author/s shall be mentioned inside the file, as a footnote.• Only a maximum of 2 authors are allowed.• Submissions are to be made at: info.pathlexis@gmail.com

FORMATTING GUIDELINES• Co-authorship is permitted.• Word limit: 750-1000 excluding footnotes• Format: MS Word (.doc/.docx)• Font style: Times New Roman• Font size: 14 for Headings, 12 for Text and 10 for Footnotes• Line-spacing: 1.5 for Text and 1.0 for Footnotes• Alignment: Justified• Margin: 1 inch on each side• Citation: Bluebook 19th Edition• Language: English only
