ABOUT HNLU JLSS
Hidayatullah National law University, Raipur has invited submissions from legal academicians, practitioners, researchers and students on analytical articles, essays, case notes and book reviews on contemporary legal and socio-political issues.
CATEGORIES• Articles: 5000-10000 words – Papers comprehensively analysing a theme.• Essays: 3000-5000 words- Papers concisely analysing specific contemporary issues.• Case Notes/Legislative Commentaries: 2000-7000 words• Book Reviews: 2000-3000 words.
All word limits are inclusive of footnotes.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES• Co-authorship up to two authors from same or different institutions is allowed.• Each manuscript must contain an Abstract of 250 words, which is inclusive of the above-mentioned word limits.• Citations must conform to the Bluebook 20th Edition.• Only footnotes must be used as a form of citation.
FORMATTING GUIDELINES• For the Main text: Times New Roman. Size-12, line-spacing 1.5• For the Footnotes: Times New Roman. Size-10, line-spacing 1.0• Use of headings and sub-headings is encouraged. They should be numbered and in the same font type, size as the main text and should be in bold.• Page borders and capitalisation of titles and sub-titles must be avoided

PUBLICATION POLICY• Submissions must be original and unpublished work of authors. Submissions with plagiarised content and copyright issues will be rejected.• By sending the submissions to the Hidayatullah National Law University, the author(s) agree to assign exclusive copyright in the work to University. It shall be entitled to, without limitation, publish and reproduce the submission or part(s) thereof in any manner it sees fit due with due acknowledgement to the author and subject to the doctrine of fair use as enumerated under the Indian Copyright Act.• The editorial board reserves the right to edit the submissions or part(s) thereof without permission from or further notice to the author.• Post the initial screening, short listed submissions will undergo double-blind peer-review process on which final selection shall be made.
