About the Opportunity
The company is looking to hire an eligible candidate for the post of Privacy Counsel for its office in Gurugram, Harayana.
Eligibility• Education: Law graduate from an accredited university in India• Experience: 3-5 years experience in handling privacy issues at a top tier law firm or in a Multi-national Company.• International privacy professional certification such as CIPP/E or its equivalent preferred but not required.
Required Skills• Well-rounded problem solver with good project and stakeholder management skills, eager to work and learn in a fast-paced business and has the ability to negotiate through uncertainties.• Fluency in English (written and spoken). Other languages preferred but not required.• Prior experience in handling privacy matters for countries other than India is preferred.• Ability to work independently. While working on cross functional or international projects you should be ready to pick up small day to day tasks.
Role and Responsibilities• Solving day to day privacy issues of a fast-paced customer facing business.• Analysing new and existing business processes and infrastructure that involve collection, storage or transfer of personal information with the aim of to ensure that they are in compliance with applicable laws and global policies such as data handling guidelines, data retention policy etc.• Sensitise and conduct awareness trainings for local business teams regarding our global privacy practices and our global data protection policies.• Support regional business counsels in reviewing and drafting agreements from data privacy perspective.• Opportunity to establish a privacy management program in accordance with the upcoming Data Protection laws in India.
