DR. SHILPA JAIN
Dr.Shilpa Jain is a Gold Medalist in B.A.LL.B (Hons) and has completed her LL.M in 2008 and Ph.D in 2011 from Barkatullah University Bhopal. She has teaching and research experience of 12 years. Before joining Dharamshastra National Law University she has taught at Hidayatullah National law University,Raipur and Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab. Dr.Shilpa has completed one Major Project granted by National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi and one Minor project granted by Chandigarh State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights. She has been awarded fellowship by the Hague Academy of International Law, Hague in the year 2014 and United Nations to attend United Nations Regional Course in International Law at Thailand in 2012. She has to her credit seven edited books and several Research papers in journals of National and International repute.
Ujwala Iyengar earned her BA LL.B, with first-class honours, from Gujarat National Law University in 2019. She has assisted policymakers on the Space Activities Bill, 2017 at the Indian Space Research Organisation, Bangalore. She has also worked with the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) on intellectual property right issues that may arise from different kinds of platform systems used to stabilise spacecrafts. At the SGAC Space Law and Policy Working Group she has worked on multiple projects ranging from space resources to debris mitigation. She is pursuing her master’s degree in aviation and space law from McGill University, Montreal where she was awarded the N.M Matte Prize for outstanding performance in space law and the MITAC Research Training Award for her thesis titled “Trading of Space Technology and the role of international cooperation: Achieving SDG’s through the global space industry in an inclusive environment”. Currently, she is also working as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Air & Space Law focusing primarily on “benefit sharing”.
Prof. AMIT UPADHYAY
Prof. Amit Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor of Legal Practice in the Jindal Global Law School. He graduated with a B.A., LL.B. (Hons) degree from Amity Law School, New Delhi with specialization in International Humanitarian Law. He was awarded prestigious DAAD scholarship to pursue further studies in European and International Law. He earned his master’s degree in International Business, Competition and Regulatory Law from Freie Universitat, Berlin, Germany as a DAAD Scholar. He has also previously worked at the Competition Commission of India, New Delhi after which he joined Amity Law School, Noida as an Assistant Professor to pursue an academic career. He has participated in academic conferences and programs worldwide by organizations like Robert Bosch Foundation, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), BMZ, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, State Bank of India and International Institute of Human Rights, Strasbourg etc. He has represented India in various summits on leadership, democracy and human rights. He was awarded “Judge Nagendra Singh Memorial Award” and the Gold Medal in the Post Graduate Diploma Course at ISIL, New Delhi. As a DAAD Young Ambassador, he has been working towards strengthening Indo-German academic exchange.
