ARSHDEEP BHADOUR

Head – Patiala Branch

I know my little effort won’t change the world in one day but surely it will hit some mind and eventually it will lead to a big change in the society. Like it’s said ‘Charity begins at home’ so I believed in this and joined YIMF for a good cause. This not only helps the society but also gives me peace of mind and a satisfaction that I did something for someone even if it is something little.

It’s a case of ‘glass half full’ vs. ‘glass half empty’. Studying and observing the problem rather than working toward a solution is a fruitless endeavor. Hence I thought of coming forward and doing some good to the society and joined YIMF. Like said by Mother Teresa – “Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.

This is what inspired me that we can make big differences by little efforts too and so I joined Young Ignited Minds Foundation.

“It’s not enough to be compassionate. You must act.”.

These words of Dalai Lama act as a precept guiding my actions . I feel the need to contribute in whichever way either small or big in my capacity to the needs of others. Being a law student and fauji brat travelling throughout the country has developed a connection in me towards the welfare of society.

I am Alankrita Sinha, a first year Law student. My motive behind joining YIMF was serving the society in whatever manner possible. Uplifting the lower strata has been my first priority be it by making the youth aware by the ‘Saarthi’ programme or by contributing in the donation drive ‘Wall of Hope’. I wish to contribute further to the society by being a part of YIMF.

I feel Action begins with a desire. Naturally, a heartfelt compassion leads to action. The vulnerable, needy, underprivileged and disadvantaged in our society need more than pity. Maybe my little desire to bring change can be that something more than pity.

DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND JUSTICE

A zippy young girl, Dikshi Arora, is a first-year student at RGNUL, Patiala.
Filled with a spirit to achieve, has time and again proved her mettle. Her clarity of thought and firm conviction is reflected in decisions she takes and hard work she does to implement them. Her strength is her positivity and far sightedness. A wide perspective at such young age is surely going to be instrumental in her success.

In the words of Dalai Lama, “It is not enough to be compassionate. You must act.” Inspired by these words, I decided to join YIMF as I believed it would provide me with a platform to serve the society and work towards the cause of social equality. Since then, there has been no looking back in the furtherance of this objective!

Your greatness is not what you have but what you give” and hence I became a member YIMF. So I could volunteer myself for a cause that would help others and bring them up. Moreover it would bring happiness to them as well as me.

Happiness is different for different people . For some it means having food on their table . To other it means books on their shelves . Some believes that doing their very best is what truly mater in the long run and some believes overcoming hurdles in their paths . That said most creature did not realize this about themselves , that what in actuality will bring them happiness .One day such people will learn that they where blessed with happiness all along but they will never realize when they are happy .
