Project Paathshala - A holistic approach to development

Transforming Government Schools across India

Project Paathshala by Young Ignited Minds Foundation (YIMF) is dedicated to improving sanitation, hygiene, and overall infrastructure in government schools. By constructing and renovating toilets, installing water purification systems, and introducing digital classrooms, Paathshala supports UNSDG 4 (Quality Education) and UNSDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation), ensuring a healthier and more conducive learning environment for students.

Paathshala Focuses On

Improving Attendance Rates

Addressing hygiene-related absenteeism, especially among female students. Focus on safety, awareness, cleanliness and sustainable infrastructure.

Learning Development

Enhancing education through focus on modern libraries and focus on improved learning development through integration of learning with technology.

Clean Drinking Water Access

Access to clean water is a basic human right. Bringing water coolers, water purifiers and handwashing stations to enhance access.

Toilet Construction & Sanitation Upgrades

Access to safe and hygienic toilet facilities are crucial for ensuring good health, access to sanitation and safety of female students. Dignified use of washrooms is a basic human right.

We have been able to enhance learning environment of students through: 

  1. Renovated classrooms and school buildings.
  2. Construction and renovation of sanitation facilities.
  3. Provision of menstrual hygiene related infrastructure such as sanitary pads dispenser and incinerator machines.
  4. Provision of clean drinking facilities.
  5. Provision of libraries and books to improve learning development.
  6. Implementation of WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and Menstrual Hygiene awareness programs.

Project Paathshala with its various focus areas aims to have an overall impact on government schools in India by improving school attendance rates by creating safer, cleaner and sustainable learning environments.

  • Construct & renovate 20,000+ toilet units to improve sanitation facilities in government schools.
  • Bring Clean drinking water facilities to 10,000+ schools. 
  • Conduct 10,00,000+ WASH awareness sessions to reinforce hygiene education and practices for a healthier India. 
  • Implement a sustainable infrastructure maintenance framework to ensure long-term impact.
