Wall of Hope

Charity begins at home and Justice begins next door. -Charles Dickens

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself I the service of others.” As quoted by Mahatma Gandhi

Our first step towards the society began with the event “Wall of Hope”, where we made a contribution to social welfare at Patiala which was the biggest giveaway in the city. Distributing Clothes to those in need brought a smile to our face as well as to those of the poor people to whom we distributed the clothes. It felt like, we were able to make a small yet vital impact on their lives. Through our event “Wall of Hope” we could help many underprivileged people leave with a smile on their face was the best part of the event. We tried our best to giveaway the most by distributing clothes, blankets, footwear, soft drinks, eatables to people present there, especially children. The smile they had on their face was priceless.

Following the pathway given by the Patiala event, similar events were organized by the Mumbai and Delhi branch in the month of May and June, 2018, which ended up being a huge success.

Y.I.M.F. organised the event Wall of Hope on the 26th of May in the heart of Mahim’s Fishermen’s Colony. Clothes, toys, books, stationery, toiletries, etc were donated by numerous people. Supplies were distributed among more than 2000 of the impoverished slum dwellers. The hard work of the driven students formed a silver lining to the dark grey clouds upon the unfortunate, their efforts spread innumerable smiles.

The event “Wall of Hope” was organized at Kirti Nagar, New Delhi on 3rd June 2018. The event included the distribution of clothes, shoes, food, bed sheets and blankets.
